Student achievement is assessed by:
- Pre-Tests before a unit and Post-Tests after
Viewing the results before and after will display improvement in understanding.
- Homework, group work, and classwork
Turning in work will provide the students with a set objective and a sense of accomplishment.
- Journal reflections
Writing thoughts and ideas down on paper is not only practice with writing, but also a good way to remember what was learned.
- Participation in class
Learning by sharing, participating, and listening is an essential way to process information.
- Portfolio presentations
Compiling selective pieces of student work will show a wide range of progress. Shown at Parent/Teacher Conferences.
Rubrics will be posted around the room, displaying examples of what the students should set as a goal. |
